Kerry

That's apparently my name. It sounds like they are saying Kelly, but don’t be fooled like me, only to think, “damn,” when almost 4 months in the teachers write “Kerry” on the board.

  1. To be fair, "L" and "R" are the same letter/sound in the Japanese language.

  2. I don't think I should be "fair", when it comes to knowing my name when you work with me everyday. I also think he, an English teacher, should not let the L and R thing slide. haha.
PLus I wouldn't mind if he was writing Keri, because thats Kelly in Japanese. But to Englishify my Japanese name seems very roundabout, when you could just write my English name
ALSo there was a JET here whose name actually was Kerry, and I feel I should be recognized as different.

Obviously I need to come up with a passive aggressive way to fix this situation...

  3. well in burkina my host called me "lait" for the longest time. that means milk. but he wasn't trying to say milk, he was trying to say "halie". then it changed to high -leigh! (pronounced as if there was an exclamation)
